Simon Edmondson
I placed some flowers in the hand of a Figure and put a translate constraint on the model bone to attach it to the hand geometry bone. That worked for the walking and reaction movements in previous scene but, Although I haven't changed the settings or property values, the plants seem to be moving outside of the hand when I animate the figure sitting down. Could anyone suggest what the error might be, and how to fix it ? regards simon
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 4, 2013 Hash Fellow Share Posted March 4, 2013 I'd have to know more but I'll note that to constrain one object to another you typically need both a translate constraint and a rotate constraint.

Robert Thank you. I will try that to see how it works regards simon
Simon Edmondson
I'd have to know more but I'll note that to constrain one object to another you typically need both a translate constraint and a rotate constraint. I deleted the translate constraints, then reapplied them and added Orient like as well. That seems to be working. One curious thing I've just noticed, Working away with the pose sliders for the eyes and phoneme shapes (done in muscle mode ) on the main figure, when I move the slider, the flowers move in the view, even though they are modelled separately to the figure. It does not appear to be affecting the flowers overall, just initially as the slider moves... ? regards simon
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted March 5, 2013 Hash Fellow Share Posted March 5, 2013 Save your work first. Then open up the channels for that pose (the eyes?) and see if you have made any keyframes for the flowers and delete them.
