Spooky Forest

Recommended Posts

I haven`t tried it yet but I intend to. I want to get the fog sorted out first. This is another render without fog but with dust. Obviously the trees further back aren`t finished yet. They are images on two layers.

If I add fog at different distances from the camera the renders appear identical to me. I must be doing something wrong.

The first image looks good, I also did some expirements with dust and I find it works very well. Iham Wrong made a great surggestion that I have not tried either, but breaking up the fog really adds alot to the scene.....

here are some renders I did in V8.5 just using dust as the base effect, then another pic using dust and volumetric lighting......

Those images look great Darklimit. That`s the sort of eerie atmosphere I want to get.

The experiments I have done with dust work really well in an animation with a terbulence material added. I do prefer the first of my two images but I really need to see the more distant trees also. A solution may be to have the fog clear to reveal them during the shot.

I will experiment more tonight with the fog and maybe also add a cookie image to the light that Iham Wrong mentioned.
