Newton Dynamics V2 for After Effects

I see at AEScripts.com they have version 2 of the Newton Dynamics engine available for AE for $250. V2 is the newer version (I don't think we have) with joints and bones... it came-up in a discussion Vern and I had YEARS ago on this forum about making a dynamic 'rag-doll' model... that could be rolled down stairs and such with dynamic reactions for comedic purposes. At $250, makes A:M look like a bargain in that ours is true 3D whereas AE's is a 2D dynamic engine.

For new users, Newton Dynamics does stuff like this:

I am going to need to play with this. Question are there any lessons on how to use this?

There's a whole forum area devoted to it:

Unfortunately, the old Hash site dedicated to the plugin (with Project files) is gone.

I'll have to check but I believe most of those project files did make it onto the Extra DVD.

Yes, that's the one. Thanks!

Your main plugin page still points to the Hash Inc site at http://www.hash.com/NewtonPhysics/

And about Newton , since a long time I would switch the physics to Bullet , but the A:M users are kidding me with bugreports B)

Well, tell 'em to cut it out! :P

Newton has been so simple/direct that I've hesitated to even consider what A:M might look like with Bullet Physics.

Bullet looks pretty good! What did Steffen mean there... kidding with bug reports (killing with bug reports?) Is ND buggy? OH! I see... we are killing him with bug reports on other stuff so he has no time to implement Bullet Physics. Too bad, it looks like a step-up from Newton and would be GREAT to see in A:M... maybe even have BOTH, where you could use one or the other- any other 3D apps offer that?
