In addition to simply running a process some procedures can be further specified or refined using the Shift key.

The Bake Surface feature has one of these options.  Simply hold the Shift key down while running the command and a dialog box will open giving access to parameters associated with that command.

In the case of Bake Surface, several defaults can be overwritten.

Taking the time to explore those options can save a lot of time.

For instance, removing materials or decals that have been baked as they may no longer be desired or required.

Basic Steps

Right Click on Model in the Project Workspace (PWS) listing

Hold Shift key down

Select Bake Surface

Adjust options

Select Ok (or Cancel if you've changed your mind)

Running Bake Surface without the Shift key will result in surfaces being baked using default options.

Remember:  Before exploring a new feature, save your Project Files and experiment with a copy of your file.

It had been a long time since checking out any automated text readers so I thought I'd give it a test with the Shift Bake Surface text above.

Results:  Not quite where I'd like it to be but I'll guess most people can understand.

I did alter the text considerably in an attempt to get the voice recognition to spit out more articulately and to place emphasis on words as I liked.

I'd say the primary thing I'd like to learn (with the software I was using; Balabolka**) is how to get the vocals to drop at the end of sentences rather than rise.

On some endings the voice does lower and I found myself thinking "Yes, just like that." but... that's probably it for now as my curiosity is mostly satisfied.

**I see they have portable and command line releases of Blaabolka.  The plus with those is that no installation is required.
