Why is updating the subscription such a pain?

Every time I purchase a subscription, it seems impossible to do so without emailing Jason. I pay, I get an activation number, but what then.

I download the last version and try to open it I get 'RLM error-3, Please email support@hash.com to actitvate via email'. This or similar happens

ever since the darned subscription thing is in place. The purchase site is hopeless, with outdated options etc. and not once could I upgrade

without support. Seems to me a waste of Jasons' time

"Please email support@hash.com to actitvate via email'."

This sounds like you have some internet connectivity problem that is preventing A:M from immediately contacting Hash to verify your code.  You're in Denmark?

Thanks Robert, That was indeed the problem, probably in all the previous years as well. I am not online most of the time, and my main desktop doesn't even know there is an internet, so it may be in Denmark or outer space for that matter. But I m actually in LA

It only needs to be online during that first validation, but if it can't... it's email for you!

You will always need an internet connection for the activation. That is just how it works. You are getting your licence by the server in the end and the activation code is just like a password to access it. (technically not totally correct, but close enough to understand it)

Best regards
