Just to share some WIP done with help of my newly obtained A:M. Quite a few other software was used but A:M played an important part.

These are unfinished prints form a 3D printer.

What comes after will be a lot of handy work such as polishing and painting, unfortunately not digital. So might not be appropriate for posting in A:M forum.

Cheers,

Rijk

Nice prints. Looks like you got an sla printer, which one did you get?

Been using the Formlabs Form1+ here for a while now. You may find that the clear resin's typically perform better than the pigmented resins and offer a better finish. You can easily paint them with acrylic based hobby paints ie Testors etc.

Pigmented resins tend to settle over long print times, cloud the PDMS pads and require more mixing and maintenance. They do nothing for resolution of the print.

Okay, thanks everyone. I'll try to update this thread if things goes well.

pixelplucker: I'm using a Form 1+ too for just over a year (i.e. warranty just expired). It started out as an outstanding printer but since then I'll suffered two major breakdowns included one swopping. As a matter of fact it just broke again tonight. I'm afraid it might be the end of it.

If that is the case, the above printed heads might very well be the last for a long while.

While trying to get the printer fixed, I'll continue to work on the current prints.
