Hello, Head Gizmo V2 For those who haven't seen my Head Gizmo before, it's a rig for animating the head with as few controls as possible in order to make the animating process quick and easy. Import the rig, position the bones, assign control points and it's ready to be animated; no poses need be setup. I redeveloped the rig so that it uses the translation of nulls instead of the rotation of bones to animate the features of the head. As a result, I've used different techniques that have reduced the number of bones and constraints needed which in turn has made it easier to install. To me, it feels more intuitive and it's easier to edit the translation dat…

A while ago, I made something called the 'Hand Gizmo' in v8.5 using a hefty bunch of scaling bones and aim targets. The attached updated, much more bone efficient version uses expressions instead and is basically an add on to Raf Anzovin’s hand setup. It moves all four fingers in various ways with one bone, but doesn’t take out any of the functionality of individual bones. Here’s a description of what each axis of the centre CFingers bone does: X-axis - Curls all four fingers into a fist. Y-axis - Curls individual fingers in steps of 100%, 66%, 33% and 0% towards the side the bone is pointing. Z-axis - Spreads out the fingers. How to install the Hand Gizm…

Ok. I'm stumped. I've been looking at Steve's Hand Gizmo and I think that it is pretty nice. So I decided that I would incorporate it (the first version) into one of my rigs. The first thing that I realized that I needed to do was to rename all of the bones to a "Left and Right" naming scheme so that I could use the Mirror Bone plugin to mirror the set up easily in my rig. So I renamed the bones (plus a little extra naming clean up) and I think that I have all of the bones named exactly as its mirrored Left/ Right counterpart. The setup works fine in the file that I have attached named "steves_hand_gizmo (renamed to left and right).mdl" while using …

I'd like to rig my characters face and I tried Steve's Head Gizmo but it gives me some serious undesired results, in the mouth region mainly. And I'm not experienced in rigging enough to fix it. So what would you guys suggest? I have the TSM2 rig installed for the body, along with cp weights in place and it's working okay. Should I simply set pose sliders with muscle mode or is there a better way?
