How to transfer my A:M license to a new computer

Windows:

  • First download: http://www.hash.com/down/get_host_id_win.zip
  • unzip that file to the desktop of the computer you want to transfer your A:M license to.
  • For windows XP,Vista,Windows 7,win8/8.1
    • Extract the files from the downloaded ZIP-file to your desktop.
    • Double-click "get_host_id.bat"
    • Atached the created "your_host_id.txt" file in a email to support@hash.com
    • Add your OrderID or activation code that you want moved.
    • We will email you back a new master0.lic license file

Mac:

  • Download http://www.hash.com/down/get_host_id_mac.zip
  • For Intel Mac OSX
    • Extract the files from the downloaded ZIP-file to your desktop.
    • Double-click "get_host_id.command"
    • Atached the created "your_host_id.txt" file in a email to support@hash.com
    • Add your OrderID or activation code that you want moved.
    • We will email you back a new master0.lic license file

Just so you know for windows 8 the steps you have won't work. what you have … show moreto do is open cmd, and type in the entire path of where the file is plus '
lmhostid.exe' to the end of it. it will give you the same result but is usable in all windows versions

The instructions are correct. Note that it says to unzip file to … show morethe desktop.
