Introduction
- With 3D models such as trees, shrubs, flowers,ferns and other plants,it
is always better to plan the scene ahead or the image composition before
starting.
- 3D vegetation models can grow very fast to the point of invading all
your RAM and easily bring the most powerful computer to it's knee.
-
- efficiency and sobriety in modeling are good attitudes when you create
3D vegetation
-
- Why make background trees with the same 3D definition that you'll be
using for close-cut?
- Also forefront vegetation is not always seen in its entirety so why
not just use what you see?
-
- In this tutorial ,I try to combine the efficency and credibility of
the model in a simple 3D modeling method of trees in Animation Master.
- In certain cases,it is preferable to not complete the entire construction
of a model in the object module.
- This is especially evident with models that use random shapes or some
fractal stuctures like tree branches.
- To avoid the nightmare of positioning random branches,I use the action
module to simplify the branche positioning.
- The method as two advantages:
- First,it permit many branches configuration with the same basic tree
model.
- Secondly, it facilitates decals application on trunk and branches.
- This techniques will be explained in details later on.
-
- This tutorial assumes you have some basic knowledge of Animation Master,
like;
- -The different module and their functions like action,abject choreography
etc
- -Basic 3D modeling techniques(lathe, extrude, attaching Cp, broking
spline etc.)
- -Working with squeletal stucture and bones
- -Texturing with Decals
- -Basic navigation tools.(rotate,scale,view setting etc)..
