HashFAQs(based on the list contents)
To join a list called animaster,
send a message to animaster-request@hash.com, containing:
SUBSCRIBE
in the message body. The mail server will respond with a mail message stating the rules and purpose of the list. YOU MUST REPLY to this e-mail message as indicated, or you will NOT be subscribed!
If you wish to subscribe under another mail address, include a "Reply-to:" header in your mail message.
This is the address which will be added to the mailing list, and the response to your command will be
sent to that address.
Leaving the mailing list
To leave the mailing list animaster, send a mail message to
animaster-request@hash.com, containing:
UNSUBSCRIBE
in the message body.
Sending a message to the mailing list
Now, messages directed to animaster@hash.com
will be sent to all members of the mailing list.
Note: The default reply field is the Author of the message not the list.
To reply to the whole list you must manually specifiy
animaster@hash.com in your To: field.

Commands understood by the mailing list processor are as follows.

LIST RULES:
This list is for technical support and the sharing of tips and
ideas between users/prospective users of Hash software. It is moderated
constantly by a Hash technical support representative.
------List Rules------
DON'TS
-No flames of any kind.
-No excessive complaining or whining.
-Public bug/crash reports are not OK (bug reports are to be e-mailed
only to steve@hash.com for immediate testing).
-No distribution of misinformation.
-Keep OT posts to a minimum (posts should at least remain somewhere in
the realm of 3d CG animation).
-Soliciting of any kind is not allowed with out prior approval.
-Avoid extensive threads or comparisons related to other 3D
Applications.
-"Wish list" requests should be sent to steve@hash.com for categorizing
and prioritization (user requests define the future development of the
software).
-No "me too!" posts
-No discussion of Hash Internal Affairs (finances, advertising, PR.)
-No posting of private email to the list unless permission of the author
is granted.
-No posting files to the mailing list.
-No very general questions like: "how do I make a good 3D model" make
your questions as complete and concise as possible.
DO'S:
-Do discuss the projects you're working on.
-Do ask questions about the software.
-Do let people know what version/platform you're using when you ask for
help.
-Offer assistance to other users... everyone was new at this once.
-Do let us know about where your art is being used professionally
(games, toons', etc.).
-Do share models, textures, tips and techniques. (via websites).
-Do organize and inform about user groups, IRC chats, contests, job
opportunities, etc.
-Do announce FAQ, tutorial websites and other 3D resources.
-Do post links to your work.
-Do let everyone know about magazine reviews and articles and where to
find them.
-Do read the FAQ often so as not to ask
questions that have already been answered.
Feel free to express your feelings and opinions as long as it is in a
constructive fashion.

Feel free to say whatever you want to me in private e-mail.
If you violate these rules, you may be removed from the list
immediately, but usually, at least one warning is issued.
As long as everything is in order with your reply to this
message, you will be subscribed promptly! You will not receive a
confirmation, but you should begin receiving list messages
within 24 hours.
The careful moderation of this list is to make it a better place
for our users where they can gain as much pertinent information
as possible without the usual off topic, ill-informed commentary
becoming so common amongst the internet newsgroups.
