What is the latest version of Animation Master?

The latest release can be found here software updates page, of the Hash web site.

How do I get a hold of Technical Support?

    Phone and Technical Support

    Phone- 360-750-0042

    E-Mail - Support@hash.com

How do I Upgrade my Software?

You can purchase an upgrade from Hash, Inc. by giving us a call (360-750-0042) or ordering off of our web site by hitting the "Order Online" button off of the main page.

I cannot access the libraries. Is there a way to make 10.0 read the 9.0 info?

Yes. To be able to view the libraries, choose tools > options. Choose the folders tab, and in the "show folders for" pull down menu choose libraries. The path in the field below this should read:

    Your CDROM drive\Hash2002\data\libraries

    For example:

    D:/data/libraries

If it does not, delete the path, choose the new path button (first button in the series of four under the "show folders for") Click the 3 dots (...) and choose the new path to match above.

I may have found a bug, what do I do?

You can e-mail the incredible Hash Tech Support, or submit a report to the A:M reports website. Please, when reporting issues with Animation Master, include the exact version number and letter you are using (PC users; help menu, about Animation Master, top right corner; or on the MAC apple pull down menu, about Animation Master). Along with this, include your system specs, including the OS you are using. Embedding models into the project file, and attaching the raw data to an e-mail or report as many problems are data specific.

For a complete list of what bugs are fixed upon each release, check out the bug update page.

    Who is Hash's Technical Support?

James, Steve and Heath are ready and willing to take your calls.

Does anyone know about the A:M Community feature? How does one register?

You should view the AM Community panel when you install and load AM If not, check in the view pulldown menu, and make sure community is checked. In the Community panel, you will see "Click here to sign up". Follow the sign up procedures. The Community feature has a lot of potential, please sign up and check it out.

MAC USERS - "The v10.0 installer installs a file called Microsoft RichEdit Library to the Master folder. Try moving this file to your System Folder:Extensions and it should work. There may be another library that is interfering with this one, but moving it to Extensions seems to fix it".

Says Ken Baer - Mac afficianado

When I launch the Animation Master, I get the splash screen, and thats it.

When launching the program, hold the shift key down. This allows A:M to open without any projects being loaded at the same time. Once inside the software, go to Tools > Options > Global tab. Switch between Open GL and D3D. You will need to download Direct X version 8.1 to run in D3D mode. You can download Direct X at Microsofts site.

I need some good resources to learn from.

There are plenty of recourses to learn Animation Master. First off, DO NOT START WITH TRYING TO MODEL A PHOTOREALISTIC HUMAN. That is most unrealistic. Why not start off by reading our brand new manual? It was built to start with the very basics and as you advance through the tutorials they become more in depth.

You can always check out Sherwoods Forest A great tutorial web site.

Why not sign up to A:M community and chat realtime with other users using the software at the same time and sometimes even Hash employees. Please note, this is done in A:M and not our web site.

The Hash Mailing List (also known as the Animasterlist) is all done via e-mail. With over 2000 users signed up there are always great discussions. Mailing List Please read the List Rules also....

And of course, we understand that you may be a visual learner. That's why we would be more then glad to sell you Animation Master Training Tapes. Why not read about them Here And then order them!
