PROFESSIONAL LEVEL BANNER NEEDED!

Requirement: An animated banner that exemplifies 'Work In Progress'.

The actual display of elements of Modeling, Rigging, Animating, Lighting and Texturing is encouraged but not required.
No sound will be utilized.

Type of work: Web banner
When required: ASAP (No one wants to stare at something that I create for the forum all of the time)

It is now my understanding that my request does fit into the Jobs Board criteria but just not this particular subforum.
I have been confused by the Jobs Board's forum titles since it was first set up.
Can you clarify?

This is certainly negotiable as it will set the standard for the size and quality of all other banners that follow.

Here is the current (unoptimized) banner size:


Note that the format must be .gif as no other format (with the possible exception of .swf which is not preferred) will allow the banner to properly cycle.

An example of what a very generic banner might look like would be hundreds of differently sized gears turning with space, with the words "Work In Progress" in the center of the image and pushed slightly back inside. An ideal image of this type might have the logo and gears interact with each other.

The minimum number of frames would be four to five.

Limiting the color pallet to a minimum will bring the filesize down to a web-friendly viewable and manageable. Filesize should to the greatest extent possible have no delay in the webpage loading and should appear immediately to the audience. Optimum filesize: Less than 50kb.

Can a .swf work?

I'm sure it could but it might be harder to replace with new art. Not all A:M users have access to such stuff.
If using .swf I'd consider that a higher level development (with mouseover buttons, interactive menus and such).

In other words. I could be convinced.
Worse case scenario the .swf could easily be downgraded to gif.
