I think I like this take on the body shape a bit more. Still needs some more development.

Three for three!
(amazingly cute)
...and may I just say, a particularly great example of the rule of repetition augmented by the rule of threes.
Three for three for three for three.

A simple broad jump would be a good exercise for introducing keyframing basics.

Anyone got ideas for what the other joints are? Something "mech" but cute and easy enough to use for teaching a beginner modeling skill.
I could do rubber accordian joints again for the hips and ankles but maybe there are other possibilities?
I've considered doing a standard hinge joint for the ankle. The hips are a bit more mysterious.

I think the eggbot character is great, Robert. A great way to focus just on leg and hip movements.

My goal is to be able to model, rig, texture and animate this in ten minutes.
I'm not there yet but it possibly can be done.
