I've committed new versions of the scarecrow lines for Act 1.
They have the same names as the original with "_RCH" appended.
They should work as drop-in replacements with the same starting time as the original file.
I think I've matched Martin's timing close enough so that electronic conforming won't be necessary. But test them out and see if they really work.

I've committed lines thru pg. 40 of the script.

Robert,
If this is what I think it is and you are rerecording the Scarecrow lines you are officially my hero.
The newer/interim voice was growing on me but it just wasn't quite right.
Not sure if you'll consider this as the ultimate compliment but for what its worth...
There is only one voice that resonates as Scarecrow; Robert Holmén.

Thanks Rodney.
I do get the occasional email from people who are sure this is some mistake and that I shouldn't be revoicing these lines.
For anyone else wondering... Martin asked to to rerecord these lines. OK?

I've always known Martin was a smart guy.
As I see it the optimum solution was going to be either A ) You rerecord the lines (for SO) or B ) Martin rerecord over your lines (for TWO).
With apologies to Martin, I'm really glad you opted for A doncha know!
Accept your fate and fame... you are Scarecrow... immortalized.

Yeah, Martin's voice was growing one me too but it's nice to have the original. In the end, it doesn't really bother me which voice is used as long as the expression/acting is there. I'm missing one in the above recordings....when SC is trying to scare the crow, I'm not feeling the disappointment as much at the end when he says Awwww.

Did you mean "Blub, blub, blah"?
I didn't detect any disappointment in the original. Is that what that was?

1:37 of "The Argument" here:
http://www.holmesbryant.com/files/video/scarecrow_of_oz/Maybe it's because someone animated his body
looking disappointed. That's the only thing I'm worried about. There are certain acting choices made by the intonation in the dialogue. If they're not present, it
could be a disjointed performance. It's a tricky thing you're doing, but good luck!

I haven't given up on this. I'm still recording.

I can't find any recording for the scarecrow speeches that are:
3_01_26
It is not for me, a stranger to rule you...
and
2_01_28
No, I am but a humble servant of Ozma...
I've got the SO archive but I can't find the relevant audio. Can anyone point me to them?

Those numbers are confusing
3_01_26 means the 26th scene in the 1st sequence of the 3rd act, but sequence 3_01 only has scenes 01 thru 11 (01, 02, 03, 04, 04a, 05, 05a, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11)
Sequence 2_01 only has 4 scenes and none of them have Scarecrow in them. 2_01 is Captain Bill, Trot and the Ork.
EDIT: I found "It is not for me ..." and "I am but the humble..." Both occur in 3_01_10. I've uploaded them to this post.
Edit 2: Those clips might have been cut. If they have, then no one animated them.
http://www.holmesbryant.com/files/video/scarecrow_of_oz/You should look at the draft render to make sure. Act 3, Sequence 02: Capturing the Witch

Sorry, I meant to type 3_01_28 not 2_01_28.
Overall, however, in the script I got the numbers seems to be more like "guidelines" than actual identification.

Those two speeches seem not to be in any of the movies. If they they are still to be animated I can record them but how about using a fresh performance instead of trying to match the current one?
Like wise with 3_03, i dont' see a movie for that. Is 3_03 "Departures" not going to be done?

All animation is complete. There are no plans for additional animation. Angelo and a friend of his named Nathan are working on the score, and asked that the movie be "locked" in order for them to start sketching out musical ideas. Since they are writing the score for free in their spare time, I was happy to comply. Martin, however, may wish to do another edit after I am finished with the re-renders and 2nd edit. In fact, I hope he does do another edit because he knows a lot more about editing than I do.
3_03 Departures has been animated. I just forgot to post it. I will try to render it out of Premiere and post it in the next day or two.

I never have gotten SVN to work on my new computer but my on my old one it's still able to connect, so...
I've committed all the scarecrow voice re-recordings. I think I've got them all in the same folder that their respective original audio file is in.
If anything is missing or otherwise inadequate let me know and I'll try again.

I know you put a lot of work into that, but I can't for the life of me imagine how I'm going to replace the old audio with the new. The Premier project doesn't use the original audio clips, each scene has a single audio clip which includes all the characters' dialog. I'll give it a shot though when I'm done with the re-renders. It will probably be quite awhile before I get to that point...

This is only being mentioned now?
Obviously someone has a project in something somewhere that edited the audio together.

It isn't like I have any influence on those kind of decisions...

Up thru the first half of the movie they should be drop in replacements with the same start time as the original file.
After that the only audio files in the folders were whole scenes so there was no exact starting point to snip to for Scarecrow lines.
