For some reason I can't render more than one frame of this shot from the end of the parade scene in TWO.

If someone wants to try, that would be cool.

Crisis passed... I got it rendered.

-Download and unzip the zip

-load the PRJ in C->Documents and Settings>Administrator>MyDocuments>

-in your A:M options set render to "Use Camera Settings"

-select the camera view (numberpad 1)

Hit render to file and OK

A:M should begin rendering frames 21:20 thru 22:12 and writing them to TGAs. It should appear to be marching band members on a black background.

If it works, great, it it doesn't work for you either then that will make a good AMReport.

This was saved under V15j+. Anything earlier will probably give you version warnings you have to click thru.

Its missing the instrument model files. I've tried loading the prj without those models but A:M hangs at 99% loading (V15 and V16).
EDIT: it turns out it just takes a long time to load. I'm not sure if those instruments are needed but when I render A:M crashes after a couple of seconds.

Do instruments show up in the PRJ after the load finishes?

It does take a long time to load, about 20 mins on my PC.

I get several missing texture-warnings... other than that it loads fine.

I'll close this until I figure out why the textures didn't get included withe the Consolidate.

What's the first file that it can't find?

I'm able to unzip to a new spot on my HD, load the PRJ and all the images get loaded. Nothing is flagged as missing.

The red alert is over. I got it to render by changing a light. One of those counter-intuitive use-a-ray-traced-light-instead-of-a-z-buffered-light things.

Thanks to those who gave it a shot, none-the-less.

Anyone know what error #10 is?

Let me know if you need to farm some rendering out.

Hmmmm...For future reference, did you change the shadow type on the Kleig? or change the light type to a sun?

I am curious as to what kind of problem is solved that a ray trace light works better than z buffered (other than more accurate shadows) ? I would like to avoid the problem. Somehow I'm guessing hair is involved? Light list? 15j+?

Parade scene looks terrific.

I changed a z Kleig to a ray kleig. The z Kleig was using a 4096x4096 map, because I needed that, and it had worked in some other shots... I dont' know if that was THE problem.

A:M would render one frame then fail on the next. If I restarted I could begin on the next frame, but then the nextest one woudl fail. No hair in this pass. The z light had worked when I rendered the background which does have hair trees.

It's simple lighting for speed. One shadowing kleig as the sun, two non-shadow sun lights for sky fill and one non-shadow sun for fill off the ground.

Thanks for the answer.

I have definitely noticed that using large map size for z-buf shadow bogs things down significantly. And I also wonder if you were running out of memory.
