I make a webcomic called Remedy.
Awhile back I was trying to make an animated short for the comic. I have all the voice acting done. I had pretty good quality rotoscopes made by artists for all the characters. But my skill in modeling is lacking and I became both frustrated with the steep learning curve and the slow progress of my abilities and I became incredibly busy with getting the business end of the webcomics site off the ground.
So now I'm looking to outsource.
I have very limited funds. As I said I don't know if I can afford this but if you think you can model pretty well please contact me at rob@remedialcomics.com with some samples of other characters you've modeled (just images is fine and you might want to take a look at the comic too although it's not really necessary). I will reply with a rotoscope of the character I'm looking to get modeled and some other art assets related to that character as well as a description of what I'm looking for the character to be able to do (on the modeling end... like for example Remedy needs to have some sort of flexible cloth effect added to the ends of his bandanna so they move and float around when his head moves like real cloth would, Ash the cat for example has eyes that turn into blazing infernos when he's angry or excited [think Firestorm] and the model would need to be made with that in mind even if the rigging isn't necessarily set up to make use of it).
You will then in turn reply with an estimate on the cost of modeling that character. If I can afford it and I like your work we'll talk some more. If it's too much for me I'll thank you for your time and go back to hoping I can make this some day.
Thanks for your time.
