Here's my take on 3_03_01. There are no unassigned scenes left! As soon as Robert, Ken and David finish up their scenes, the animation will be done. smile.gif

Looks good. Congrats!

Thanks Nancy smile.gif
Oops ... I meant animation for all the *scenes* will be done. Songs are still in progress. I just got carried away huh.gif

Hmmmm.... Gloria is sitting in 3_03_01 yet standing in 3_03_02!
KenH
Wow! You're done? That was fast! A few comments:

Frame 347:It's hard to tell, but it looks like Grasshoppers front left leg is going through TW shoulder pad.
Frame 640:When he shows his wings, could they be rotated a little more to show their full shape. All we see now is two "lines".
Frame 1530: It seems like Pon should be looking at TW. Not sure what he is looking at. Also, TW's head is bent funny. Looks like his head bone should be translated. Not critical.
Frame 1117: Pons left shoulder pokes through Gloria's hat a few times. You may have to tweak her hat in the chor.
Frame 1853 to end: The "atmosphere" seems a little awkward. Maybe it should be? But I like how you did Grasshoppers hovering. That's how it should be done.....up and down a little. Not stuck in one place. I couldn't figure that one out.

Otherwise looks pretty good. Nice work.

On a side note.....I'm worried about with the witch disappearing is it makes SC and Trot look quite evil to give her a shrinking berry with no hope of return. Even if she had turned back Captain Bill.

My read on that is it has cut to a few seconds later. By that time, they've all moved to the gate.

Thanks guys.

Ken I'll work on those parts.

David, I'm going to do a dissolve in the edit that conveys a short time has passed between 3_03_01 and 3_03_02. Otherwise, there is no way for them to get from their "shrinking witch" positions to their positions in 3_03_02.

I'm not sure what to do about that one Ken. I guess do whatever you can ... as long as we don't have to record any new dialog.
KenH
The only thing I can think of is at the end of the Bumpyman scene, when the group walk away, Bumpyman (me) could shout out after them "Oh and should you want to go back to normal size, just have another berry!" It's more dialog, but wouldn't impact on the scene length or require any animation changes.

SC and Trot would now know that Witch wouldn't have to be small forever.
HomeSlice
That might work ...
But then we have the problem of what to do with the Witch at the end of the movie in order to obtain closure.
Currently, the script says, "WITCH shrinks into nothingness."

Hmmm,
But if you want to keep her around in a tiny shrunken state, maybe you can grab the Lemonade Jar in the Props folder and make Scarecrow put the shrunken Witch in the jar. Then Scarecrow can give the jar to Gloria, who places the jar on the far side of her chair, so it will be out of sight for 3_03_01 and 3_03_02. So then me and David won't have to re-work our scenes to include the jar. Not sure why Scarecrow would have a large empty jar conveniently on hand, but that's the only thing I can think of at the moment. What do you think?
KenH
That would mean moving SC and Trot in the beginning of the above scene.....over toward Gloria rather than looking down at the ground. And SC just producing a jar would seem a bit too handy. wink.gif I think he could just pick up Witch with his hand and give her to a guard. It would just mean extending my shot. What about that?
HomeSlice
That sounds like a great solution.
KenH
Actually, even easier, I'll probably just have the guard come over and pick her up.
KenH
Hey Holmes. I'm about to animate Witch shrinking now. Will it be possible to make her voice change like we've done for Grasshopper? I think it'd sound cool to hear her voice shrink with her body. If we can do it, will it change the timing? If so, then let's do it before I animate it. Assuming you want to.

It's worth a try Ken. Do you have any audio processing/editing software? As long as you save the audio as uncompressed wav, 16bit (Little Endian), 44.1kHz, you should be fine.
If you can't edit sound, I could give it a try but, when it comes to audio, I don't really know what I'm doing. (If we ask Angelo to do it, it could be weeks before he is able to get to it.)

I've got all the audio editing software under the sun. Do you want me to give it a go?

Cheers

If it's OK with Ken, it's OK with me.
We should probably continue this discussion in the 3_02_06 thread, since that is the scene Ken is working on.
KenH
I don't have a thread yet, but there's certain timing required for the audio change, so, let me get a thread and something rendered. Then we can look at it.....assuming the timing doesn't get affected. Thanks.
