I am snapping points to Grid via the "snap manipulator to grid" option and it's not accurate.. The grid is set up in 5 cm units and points are snapping to say 4.84. The amount they're off is varied. It's sometimes much less or more than .16 off.

How do I make this work?

Using Animation Master 2000 8.5L.

8.5... That's a long time ago!

I have a vague recollection that there was either something different about what Snap was intended to do or that there was something odd about the grid.

Snap to grid does snap to grid in current versions.

I think in order for the control points to snap exactly to the grid lines, they must begin on a grid line. In other words, if your grid is set up so the lines are 5cm apart, the control points will snap 5cm, regardless of whether or not the result happens to fall on a grid line.

There are two kinds of snap to grid.
One is a mode which will not snap to grid in a way you would think about it but which will move CPs in grid-distance... so if the cp isnt aligned to the grid from the beginning on, it wont snap to grid but move 1 grid-space and one that can be activated by right-clicking and using the menu. This one will snap the selected point to grid.

I am not able to remember if it was like that in v8.5... (we are more or less at version 16 today... you version is about 10 years old...)

Yeah, I think I'm experiencing the "move 1 grid-space" thing. Thanks for the help all.
