It has been a long ride, but finally A:M Track 2 is ready for beta. Zign Track 2 / Pro is already in beta for over a week now. Now the A:M exporter is added as well and the A:M Track edition is ready too smile.gif
Those who are in the beta team already have received an email so they can get their download. It would be great if they can post their first experiments here. It would be great to see some nice models animated with A:M Track. I'm to busy to create animations myself at this moment because I have to prepare everything for the release. I have already seen a couple of videos from beta testers using other 3D applications and the results are great!

Version 2 is much more advanced compared to version 1. The A:M exporter allows you to combine as many poses as you like, selecting from 70 base poses, bone control is simplified and now it automatically builds a face rig too, so you will not have to. This actually makes the A:M exporter the most advanced of all smile.gif

If anyone is interested seeing the Pro edition in action, I made a short tutorial video for the beta testers to demonstrate the work flow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECK3-TQPlyA

<Very interesting news!

Since I use mostly TSM2 for the bodyriggs, will I be able to use your faceriggenarator afterwards with it?

-Have you already made up the upgradeprize for owners of the old version?

The face rig is an A:M model file. You can drag and drop the face rig onto your existing rig in the PWS, adjust the position and scale and attach the neck bone to the model's chest bone.

I'm working on my website at this moment and will include the pricing when I upload the updated website. It should be up within two days. Before this I'm not releasing any pricing info to avoid rumors.

Luuk, Zign Track 2 looks amazing. Lots of clever stuff going on in there. I just need some time to dedicate to testing now. Thanks for keeping me on your list of testers and I hope to have some new examples to show in the next week or two.

Luuk,

I found some small green foam markers with sticky backs at a local craft store tonight, so hopefully this weekend I can shoot some video and play. From the testing so far on the interface, it is extremely easy to use and well thought out. Can't wait to get some video in there and test it out. This looks really cool! It's a great feature that the export data can be used with a pose-based model or a bones-based model. Nice!

Luuk,

Would there be any difference for A:M Track 2 using A:M version 13 versus 15? I'm trying to find out what may be causing my Track 2 exports not to work with version 13.

Hmm, I thought the action files would be backward compatible. I designed them for version 15 so you wouldn't get a warning you're using an old version format when saving you A:M projects. Do both the action and model file not work for you? You can change the version of these files back to version 13 real easy. Open the files in a text editor. On the second line it says "ProductVersion=15". Change this to "ProductVersion=13" and it should work for you.
Note that this does not work for A:M version 12 and older.

Maybe I'll change the format to version 13, or make an option in the settings so the user can specify for which version the files have to be.

By the way, I may not always think of checking the forums every day so if you find bugs or problems it's best you send them by email so you can be sure it's taken care off.

Is anyone else not able to import version 15 model or action files in version 13?
I dusted of my old version 13 CD to try it myself I was able to to import the files in version 15 format just fine.

Just to be sure I have changed the A:M exporter in A:M Track to A:M version 13 for the next beta update that I will release today. I had to build a new update because there where some bugs to be fixed too.

Hi Luuk,

When will AM Track 2 come out of beta?
zandoriastudios
looks great! I am eager to play with this!

I'm thinking that a few cool 'mascot' animated actors to choose from will be an easy side-business for the local TV market! I purchased A:M Track a few months ago, but I haven't installed it yet...how long before version 2 is for sale (and can I upgrade my license)???

I see I didn't email your upgrade yet. I've send it to you just now.
For those not eligible for a free upgrade, upgrades can be purchased here (if you own A:M Track version 1)

A:M Track 2 will be available in the Hash web store soon. Jason is working on that, he needed to change something in the system that takes some time, apparently.
