Import an obj as a prop and set the toon render with "Override Lines" to ON
The render won't show lines no matter how thick they are set.
Make a model within AM and place that in the chor along with the prop and the Toon Lines will now render.
Removing the model and leaving the prop will revert back to no lines showing.

So make an itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny model to put next to the prop? Or inside it?

I was wondering why my toon line wouldn't render, not a big deal because I could just make the model in AM but was lazy and tossed it in from one my other apps.
What is weird is it only renders the toon line in a horizontal stripe based on models position.
Tossing a big single patch in the background seems to fix it. Downside is you loose the alpha but in my case it doesn't matter because I'll be autotracing it into a vector object.

Yes, in the current version AM has a thing with the toonrender
as so the models tend to adopt the line thickness from the underlying
( in the back ) model, at least when transparency is involved.
