I had never heard of Domo before so thanks for introducing me to him smile.gif The simple answer to your question is use a rotoscope. When I first started AM, I saw this advice often but unfortunately ignored it most of the time. But I eventually learned how much easier it makes modeling. So, after watching several Domo shorts I decided to make him.

Here is how I made him but others would have different methods. After you have your new model with a rotoscope of Domo, I would lathe a cylinder and shape it to one of his legs because he is basically as thick as his leg is round. Then in a side view make a 'U' shape roughly the same width as his leg. This will be the top of his head. Switch to front view and extrude that spline and move the extrusions around to make the outline of his body. Make a spline ring shaped like his mouth and tie it all together. Make another cylinder and shape it into his arm.

I don't really have any use for Domo so if anyone wants him I will post the model but you should try to make him because he is fairly simple and a good learning experience.
