Looking for a good rain effect for our Ark project.
Streaks maybe?
Please help aim me right direction.

streaks work well and render fairly quickly.

Give them no viscosity and make them not affected by gravity so you can tilt your emitter to an angle to simulate a side wind.

Your emitter will be a very large patch over your scene.

ok stupid me has no idea where to start on making streaks.

I can never get the directional thing with streaks to work. I make gravity 0 and so it goes straight down, but I tilt the emitter, the streaks still go straight down. I have to change the force settings I think it is and give it a specific X,Y,Z value which is very rough and wonky. It's done this on every project I've tried in both V13 and 15.

Oh, to make streaks:

New Material>Particle>Streaks (I forget the hierarchy)

Then you edit the attribute like anything else, preroll to 3:00 or whatever you desire. They're not much different than particle emitters
