I decided to take Steve up on his challenge to do a short, very short animation with my last Nautilus still. My problem is as follows: I have a light bulb that is constrained to the Nautilus at frame 0 and is supposed to stay constrained to the ship, but only in the x and z axis. I thought I would just do a simple "translate to" and then add a "translate limits" for the "y" axis. Adding the "translate limits" in the middle of the animation, however, makes the light jump to the x,y,z = 0 axis. Compensate is on when I add the "translate limits", but it still jumps to the center of the axis's.
What is an easy way to do this? I want the light to follow the sub on the surface, but when the sub dives, I don't want it to dive with the sub, only follow above the water.
Thanks in advance
Eric
Figured it out. Once I put large enough values in the minimum and maximum fields, the light jumped right back to where it started out.
