As the title says, Giveaway Of The Day is giving away a free copy of "PCHand Screen Capture Recorder Suite". I've never used it before, but it is free!

Thanks Al!

If you are on a PC and don't have a decent video screen capturing utility you will want to grab this.
The image capture utility will have limited use (you can use the Print Scr button for basic screen grabbing) but the video capture... that you need.

If nothing else if you don't have a reasonable way to convert your video to Shockwave (.swf) this might work for you.
Not sure how high you can crank up the quality.

I've downloaded and installed but already have Camtasia so will probably not use this a lot.
This one would be handy as you can set up programs to run from inside A:M.
Launch a video of what you are working on today!

16 hours remaining...

I downloaded it, could be useful for something someday, though I don't know what, haven't had the need to make a vid tut yet or anything!

Uses beyond creating tutorials include:
- Share what is on your screen with someone you want to show something to (Useful for troubleshooting)
- Capture something on the screen for later viewing. (Some video streams quickly and you may not be able to see it again)
- Convert files (some people don't have good conversion utilities)
- Start a video blog or journal
- Streamlined workflow aide (you don't need to render test shots you've already screencaptured)
- Animatics (quickly block out test cases)
etc.

This screen capture utility doesn't do it but some allow immediate editing, transfer to DVD, menu creation and a host of other things.

Given your projects the most important use I can think of is to keep a historical record of progress.
It's likely a waste of time today but may be valuable to you in the future.
You never know when you may want to look back.

hey, animatics, that's how they do them, i always wondered about that, and a historical record is cool, i always like having that behind the scenes material type stuff

Someone posted on the give away site that their av picked up on a trojan on that package....
Darkwing
hmmm, oh, that software is only windows isn't it? well, as long as I don't use any V15 features, I can open up my projects on V13 on my windows

Read up on this review before installing anything from this site....the article provides some good information on the install process, as well as might explain a virus/trojan detection...

Thanks, Paul, I had downloaded it but was afraid to install it. Now I'll install it and keep my eyes open.
