What is the best way to change camera views in an animation from one frame to another? Is it better to use different cameras or to move the camera to another location between the two frames? I used the last option, but sometimes that gives strange effects in combination with motion blur.

it always depends on the look your going for
I usually use different cameras 2 to 3 depending on what i'm doing
I also make several copies of the choreography and will re stage and re shoot

yeah, it all depends on what you're trying to do. Sometime I key frame the camera so in effect it jumps from one spot to the other, sometimes I add new cameras (this is easiest for a lot of complicated movement and cuts)

To avoid the motion blur effect, make your camera keyframes stepped......select the keys and press the 7 key (not on numpad).

How can I change from one camera to another in a choreography?
I put three cameras in one scene. switched two of them off and one on and changed that during the chor. But when I rendered the scene, the camera did not switch. Maybe its a problem of the rendering. I always use the render to file button in the menu bar. This option always renders the current view to a file. maybe its the wrong way. Is there another way to render the chor is it is set up?

you cannot switch cameras in the cor. It isn't possible. If you have cuts, and you don't want to do multiple renders of the different cameras, then you have to move the camera. If you set the translate/rotate interpolations on the camera to "Hold", just go to the frame where you want to cut and move the camera to the new position. If the camera's translate/rotate interpolation is set to "zero-slope", go to the frame where you want to cut to something else, create a keyframe for the camera, advance one frame in the timeline and *then* move the camera to the new position.
