Disney/Pixar has slowly been releasing character posters of the new characters in Toy Story 3. I went looking today and found the first three. You really can tell there's been a quantum leap since the original. These soft characters were inconceivable back then...

My impression of the story so far is that it's a prison break picture with them busting out of the daycare. There's no doubt that they're churning up the marketing machine with all of the new toys.

There was supposedly an "action-thriller" animated feature in development at Disney called "Fraidy Cat" that was canned because it didn't have merchandising potential.

Speaking of lawsuites... I've always wanted to make an irreverant Toy Story knockoff called 'Sex Toy Story'... the main character would still be called Woody, but the other characters would be quite different. I have the script.
LOL, Matt. I think the "Buzz" and "Woody" sex toy jokes started as soon as the first movie came out. :-)
