Hey, what exactly is an mdd file and can we make use of them in A:M?

It seems to be a way to allow a arbitrary 3rd party renderer to render a model from any poly package without having to know anything about the rigging or morphing system. Or to render an animation with high density meshes using a minimum of RAM.
"These are files that have an objects motion and displacements baked onto each vertex. This would allow, for example a character animated via bones, morphs and other displacements to have all that baked onto a single mesh on a per vertex basis."
Since AM files likely won't work with any other renderer out there, there probably isn't much use for them in A:M.
You can achieve something similar either by:
* Placing all your animation in a single Chor action and then export it as an Action. This is supposed to strip all constraints etc and keyframe everything.
* OR Right-clicking on the Chor icon and choosing "Bake All Actions".
This, of course, makes any further tweaking much more difficult.
