Rodger Reynolds will LOVE this... this guy models 1950's automotive scenarios... watch the slideshow- you will feel like you are in a small town in 1952.

Awesome!

Loved the shots where he gave away the setups.

My dad showed me this earlier today.

I wonder if he used a large format camera and/or tiltshift optics to achieve such crisp DOF?

Thanks for posting this Matt.

I love the concept but of course the real key here is he builds most of his diorama's outside so the lighting and backgrounds are absolutely natural. I doubt he uses a tilt shift camera. With natural sunlight he can really stop down his lens for maximum depth of field. The night time shots taken under artificial light don't hold up as well. But even at 1/24 scale he still can't get within arms reach of his cars.

However, call me a nitpicky modeling snob, I'd be more impressed if he had modeled the cars as well. At $40 - $60 per car, he may have spent more on die-cast cars than I have on A:M. I can build anything with that and the gaps between my car doors will be a realistic 1/4".
