Hi guys and gals. Was wondering if it's possible to drag a "camera window" out of the program and onto my desktop, to be viewable on another monitor.
I have two LCD monitors, and I was trying to have 2-4 different camera angles viewable on my secondary monitor but the program isn't letting me do that. Is there some option I have to goto to enable that?

yes, i do believe you are able to do it. If you want a second Camera angle from a Camera, add a new camera to your chor. Open a new window and choose your view as Camera 2. Then drag that window onto your second monitor. If you are talking about your modeling/animating views, then just open a new window, select your view (ie front, left etc) and drag that window onto your second monitor

I don't think you can drag a view window outside the A:M app window. You can drag toolbars but not view windows. I have two monitors and typically drag the PWS over to my second screen
You can however, extend the main A:M window over to your second monitor and place camera windows anywhere in that space. Unmaximize the A:M window and re-size it to extend over to your second screen.

Because of some graphic card not all the feature will be optimize on the second monitor, thus I usually drag the project workspace, pose slider, and properties on the second monitor. and just leave the modeling windows on the first one. However you can go to windows and either sort you view to cascade horizontal or vertical if you want multiple view of your model.
Lately, I been opening 2 instance of AM and use the second one to save my file of the model while working on the other one, and if it crash, I can still work on my model.

I'm going to have to upgrade my monitor. One is bigger than the other, so if I stretch it out, 2nd monitor will look some stuff.
thx for help and opinions guys

Why not just put your camera angles on your first monitor, and drag the stuff that tht can be dragged out of A:M (almost everything else) on the second monitor.

I cant drag any windows out of my A:M, I upgraded my 2nd monitor so I just stretched out A:M and moved my different angled windows over. I originally tried that first before upgrading. But since I had a smaller 2nd window. A:M was cut off.
Screen shot with A:M Stretched onto second screen. Since I can't drag camera windows out of A:M.

I cant drag any windows out of my A:M,
Right-click on the bar at the top of a window and uncheck "Allow Docking"
This works for anything that is not a view window.

I see. Nice thanks for that info. If only that option was enabled for Camera Windows. I wouldnt have to upgrade my other monitor.

Move the main A:M window over to teh screen you want your camera windows on. Then drag the non camera windows over to the screen A:M isn't on any more.
Why do the camera windows need to be on a particular monitor? A screen is a screen.

Its just preference. I don't like cycling through windows(if I'm working with a lot of files). I just want to glance over and see comparisons or differences.
