My movie will be in the open, with sky and I have been experimenting with VUE (v8 Infinite) to generate said sky(s) as animated background plates. Here is an example:

Animated Clouds (800kb .mp4)

This is the look and feel I hope to achieve with my movie (somewhat grainy/gritty and desaturated landscape) Now all I need to do is match the camera in VUE to the camera moves in AM (when I get aroudn to the animation that is )

That looks great, how easy is it to match camera moves between Vue and AM?

Manually It shouldn't be that difficult. I just need to keep the camera moves simple and then its just a matter of extracting altitude and azimuth (and rotation/tilt) per frame and repeating that in AM (it's the sky so DOF etc doesn't matter)

My other option is to render the VUE scene out to Panoramic then map it to a sky dome and then I don't have to worry about Camera at all. I have 2 options to select from - Panoramic or Panoramic Spherical....
