Hello All,
I just recently decided to start fresh and make a new account on my mac. I deleted A:M off my old mac account and reinstalled it on my new account. The installation worked fine and when I open the program it ask for my name and organization for registration. Once I enter my name I click ok and and then the program crashes. When I reopen the program the same registration window appears and I enter my name but it will crash again. I deleted all things A:M again and reinstalled but I am continuing to have this issue.
Is anyone able to tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Mark.

No idea but don't forget to shoot off an email to Support at hash dot com so Jason and Steffen can take a look at it (or possibly add it to AM Reports)
Cheers

Mark,
The short answer is that there is a permissions problem with A:M. Make sure that, for the A:M folder, "everybody" has read/write permission and that you apply this to all items within the folder. Use the little gear thingy.

That is right.
The program needs to be able to write settings file after you enter that data if it can not, you need to change your "Animation Master 15.0' folder to read/write by everyone and pick apply to enclosed items(the Cog icon)
Thanks,

I had something similar.....no crash. I just cancelled at the registration screen. Then I couldn't get back to it. I eventually explored into the windows folder on the cd and installed manually with the setup icon in there.

Permissions seem to break every now and then, and you have to do "repair permissions" in the Disk Utility to fix them.
But sometimes that isn't an option. I recently somehow lost the ability to write to the drive I use for Time Machine backups. I ended up reformatting the drive to fix it.

But why does A:M have to crash. Why can't there just be a warning message?. Give us a chance to fix the issue instead of panicking when A:M crashes.
