Hi!

Just wondering is there a website to get different actor to appear in A:M?
higginsdj
Do you have the CD or Subscription version? If you have the CD then you have a wealth of other actors to choose from. If you have the subscription version then you can try the data download from the Hash ftp site (ftp://ftp.hash.com). Then there is the resources sub forum on A:M forums....

Otherwise, like the rest of us, you will need to design and build your own characters. Start simple, a Ball, then move to a ball with a tail, a bag of flour and so on. As a student, you should start at the beginning and learn the trade - there are no shortcuts in this 'industry')

Just beginning with A:M?

DO THE EXERCISES IN THE BOOK!
DO THE EXERCISES IN THE BOOK!
DO THE EXERCISES IN THE BOOK!
DO THE EXERCISES IN THE BOOK!
DO THE EXERCISES IN THE BOOK!

By "the book" I mean "The Art of Animation:Master."

Not that I want to discourage you from having fun with character animation and gaming and whatever. You can alternate between two "rooms," if you like. One hour, you do whatever you want in the "play" room. Next hour, you go to the "learn" room and do an exercise out of the book. When you get tired of that, go back to the "play" room for a while.

Every time you learn something new out of the book, you'll have the urge to shout "Eureka!" like Archimedes, and go to the play room to fix a problem you were struggling with. Do the exercises, you'll be glad you did.

.....and then will come a time in which you will be playing in the "learn" room smile.gif
