Evertime I try to render with dynamics on bones and with hair on but not the dynamics on the hair I get a crash ,it renders ok with just the bone dynamics but not with hair on .Is there a bug
This is what I get just as it finishes the first frame

This is a bit strange ,if you look at frames 1and 2 it has hair on but I had it turned off
edit
would being on 15 g make a differance

Very strange. You could try updating to V 15.0i. Are you running a 'simulate spring systems' operation first or just let the bone dynamics fall while rendering...?

very possible - I do believe 15g had a problem with baking particle systems - try 15i
I am assuming that you are baking the hair? as well as simulating spring systems before rendering?
DO NOT bake particle systems in 15g - I had a model file get corrupted when I did that IFC, luckily I was able to repair - but it was a very nasty corruption.

I did simulate spring systems but didn't bake the hair ,is that what I should do ,when I go to 15 i.I will give that a go if you tell me to bake hair
Thank's for the info Nancy

try 15i - if hair has dynamic option on - bake hair
but make sure you have a copy of model safely tucked away first - just in case - it should be ok - but ya never know.
Baking hair (or particles) is weird - it's unclear how/where A:M determines where to create the new file (with .pai or .par extension - forget which) that contains the baked hair/particle data - it may show up under the same folder as the chor? or the project?
Make sure your chor length is set accurately as well - it will bake/simulate for the entire length.
I think (not sure, can't remember) - it's better to simulate spring systems first with hair turned off, save chor, then turn hair back on - then bake particles/hair

If the hair is not dynamic there is no need to bake. I would sim spring systems first tho.

Ha now I see this lol I just triede it but done the bake first and then the sim but the sim didn't work ,the hair did however,so I will now be a good boy and try it properly as you sugest ,Thank's again

Yes got it ,I done what you good peaple said and it worked ,I don't have much dynamics on the hair as yet as this was just to try and get things working

What are you using for the skin textures? There seems to be an issue on the thighs. Are the normals pointing in the correct direction?

Its a large decal but I done the torso and legs seperately ,but still can't see why that sharp square is there. When I look in the editor it looks ok ,I will check the normals though Mark ,now you mension it

It's most likely how the decal was applied. The seams are not in the same location on the stamp.

Mark I want to send you the prj with images ,I split it into 2 zips but one is still 7 mb would that be ok to mail

Ok Steve, it is the stamps, the seams do not line up. I edited the stamp to line up the seam, notice I skipped one of the splines, it's a hook. You have the same problem for the back of the legs and the arms. I would suggest stamping the front of the torso, legs and arms in one shot (minus hands, feet and head). Same for the back side. Here's some images to show the difference.

Yea that makes a lot of differance ,looks a lot better ,Ill try it ,thank's Mark

Mark that work'd a treat ,so you just sorta egnore the hooks ,when lining them up ,thats magic
