You have to open the timeline. That's where the wave file will show up. With it you can move around within the wav to any frame. It's cool. Go to "view" then down to "timeline". At the bottom left of the timeline are a half-dozen or so buttons. Be sure to press down the zig-zaggy one at the far left of this group of buttons. Also don't forget to drop your sound file into the action, if you haven't already. Good luck.

If you have other actions in your choreography then the sound file can get pushed all-the-way to the very end of the timeline. Sometimes you will need to scroll and hunt for it after dropping it in.

I don't understand: what exactly isn't working? Do you mean you can't display the timeline. Anyway, let us know. I'm pretty sure there's a simple solution.

Here's a screenshot of what your action screen might look like.

please, what i mean is that my sound plays in AM but it does not display the zig zag thing on the time line.
or i better ask what is the specification that AM sound support, i think that will be the solution. I am still using V13 . . . i will upgrade when i finish my project. thanks

wav files work well. I have not tried any other audio format.

Be sure you hit this button. This is what I meant by the "zig-zaggy" button. Hope it helps.
Like Homeslice, I've only used wav files too. Switch Sound is a free utility that will turn just about any format into any other.
http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.htmlThe same company provides WavPad in which you can edit wav files. It also is free and will convert just about anything into a wav. It will also add envelopes (volume modulation) and has a few other effects.
