I was making this model for kicks and when I added an attribute to a dark tree shader AM would crash on save. Ended up just using bitmaps for this.
Not sure if this is a new bug in 15g or if it existed before.

Why would you want to or need to add an attribute to it?
[EDIT] I have no problem saving a material with a darktree and a new attribute in 15e.

Because the basic shader wasn't exactly what I wanted, adding an addiitional attribute gave me the look I wanted but couldn't save the file. I could render it but not save.

What kind of attribute did you add?
I assume you SAVED AS new material?

Material was just "material 1" in the project list with one attribute for Darksim shader and another attribute for surface.

What were the settings in the new attribute?
Did you try to save the project or the material?

Only settings in the new attribute was roughness and roughness scale.
Just did another test, this time I saved the project with just the dt shader applied to a primitive.
Next I added the other attribute and was able to save the project but when I tried to save as the material AM disappeared without an error.
After restarting AM I was able to save the material out.
Definitely very unstable with the dark sim plug in. I'm guessing something needs to be updated on the plug in side.

when I change a darktree material I usually delete it from the model and reapply after the change and have never had a problem doing it that way . By adding attributes does that mean you are using the darkttree material program to make a materail or just adding a attribute to a material that has a darktree as on attribute.
Here is the a material I used to test your issue ,,,I do not have the actually darktree program so use an available one
Click to view attachmentit rendered fine and saved fine in 15H

Ahh I didn't notice H was out already. Under g when any additional attribute to a dark sim shader under the material makes it unstable here.
I'll have to test with the new version.
