I loaded 15h and could not load my former project. Playing with some of the settings I got theprj file to load. Then when I went to models and selected shaded with wire frame AM froze or would never load the textures?

Is this something for a bug report?

Went back to 15g and everything worked fine.

Hello,

Can you zip and send the file to support@hash.com

if it ends up being a large file you can use http://senduit.com/ to upload the file, make sure you pick a time line up over 1 day haha.

It looks like 15.0h crash or freeze when going into shaded mode on all models. I've tested this on two computers. I believe it has been reported

<Same on my computers. PC 15h.... switched to open gl made it a little better.
Also cant view poseslider movements in realtime in chor,
guess this has to do with it as well....

Maybe it would be best to retreat 15 h for the time being before too many users run into similar trouble.....

But nevertheless: many many thanks Yoda for your continung efforts to make AM better and better!

I had the same problem with models that had decals applied. If I deleted the decals I could go into shaded mode.

I also have issues with quick renders with multipass ON. With it turned OFF it would render fine (15g and 15h). I think it has to do with the decals as well.

Other issues are realtime. For example, rotating a bone in an action, the view would lock up, even though I'm still rotating the bone. I would have to exit the window and reopen it to update the viewport. I think this is Vista/videocard issue, I have the latest drivers. It's so bad I can't use A:M for too long, It just drives me nuts. (any version of A:M)

I'm currently using 15e because of these issues, even though I still have the realtime issue.

I reported this, I recently got an email giving work arounds but it kind of is a pain.

Turn off decals when switching to shaded modes then turn them back on. Restarting the computer does not help. Version 15.G does not have this issue. I do not recommend updating to H until this is resolved.

Changing shading modes here doesn't crash at all. In fact H seems much faster on my machine, no stuttering at all on huge projects. decals show up fine.

I am also no able to render out a file bigger than I could before, 4000x3000 where previous versions would crash at half that size. I maybe able to render even bigger but I'm scared :0

XP sp3 4gb
quad xeon
quadro 3700 512 with dual monitors

I believe I am running the latest vid drivers.

do you run open gl or direct3D?
jason1025
maybe its a vista thing.

It seems the main problem is with the Render mode switch. One of the conflicts is if you have bias magnitude set other then default and have a CP selected or other you will crash or freeze. If you have down loaded 15h ether but 15g back or make sure you have nothing selected when switching from one render mode to another.
Have a nice day smile.gif

It does mess up on opening older files that have decals over shaded groups. The areas where there are stamps default to white adn the only way to get them to show the groups shader is to delete the decal and redo. The program does become unstable after doing that.

Seems pretty good with new models though.

It doesn't look like it is on the Hash ftp site.
I have uploaded it here:
http://holmesbryant.com/files/am/

I will probably take it down in a couple of days, so grab it as soon as you can.

ahhhh that's where they're hiding.

Thank you both, I got it.

Let`s hope 15i will come out soon...

Make sure you uninstall AM before applying the older update.
I simply made a copy of my hxt folder, uninstalled, updated to g then replaced the folder.

What would be cool is if you could simply jump back a version if it the new install made a backup of the previous install. This would save a good 20-30 min smile.gif

Your mileage may vary, but I didn't uninstall 15h. I just installed 15g and it works fine on Win XP SP3.
Whenever I uninstall first, I lose all my keyboard shortcuts and custom paths to hxt/trb/atx/lbr folders.
