The other major change for the windows version is , that A:M is build now with VS2008 , this is a breaking change for plugins, because it is not
possible to load plugins created with VS2005 (different manifest versions).
Plugins created with VC6 are working (they don't have manifests included).

If You are a plugin developer and Your plugin doesn't run longer with this release version please contact me for possible solutions.

So in regards to TSM2, it looks like it is a matter of 'which VS' it was developed under... if it is VS6 or VS8 TSM2 should work fine...if it is VS5, you will want to keep your old V14 disc around to rig TSM2 ...

I am in the middle of a big job so I shouldn't switch to F just now... if anyone that HAS installed F could take a moment and try TSM2 to see if it opens, that would be BIG.

It opens and the builder is working ,
but havent tested further yet, but then I guess it should work.

Just run Builder, Flipper, and Rigger real quick. You don't even need to model any CPs.

Do they all finish and do the constraints get written?

Broken! sad.gif
I just tried rigging a character and some of the finger bones are missing in the window. Their names are in the hierarchy and if I click on them I get a line extending from the position that they should be in to infinity.
Attempting to save the project crashed A:M 15.0f.

I have also been experiencing crashes when attempting to copy geometry.

Fortunately, that sounds like a geometry copying bug rather than an inability to use the plugin....I hope.

I'm trying to work out when things go wrong. It seems to be during the scaling of the rig. If I just accept the default rig size and proportions I can run to the end of the rigging process without losing any bones. That isn't going to be very helpful.

Luckily I tried installing Mark Skodacek's 2008 rig the other day and it seems to offer much the same functions as the TSM2 rig , without the additional stretch poses. The 2008 rig was pretty straight forward to install too.

try saving and reloading/restartin after builder and/or after scaling some bones.
Paul Forwood
Okay. I've tried your suggestion, Robert, but it didn't help this time. Some of the finger bones seem to vanish when I scale the forearm bone after running TSM Builder. I would post a screen grab but there are no facilities for uploading pics in this thread. I'll post an image in another thread so you can see the strange values that tsm2 is putting into the problem bones' start, end and translation properties.

Edit: Problem solved... I think. Rebooted the computer and tried a again without any problems. smile.gif

The SpaceNavigator support is absolutely brilliant! Once again thank you Steffen! I have been playing with it one my laptop the last couple of days. Anybody know when the CD version update will be released? I use the CD on my workstation and at work, and I eager to play with the Navigator full time smile.gif

I am at the moment creating a plugin with VC7(from visual studio 2003), will the new version of AM still load the plugin?

Thanks for all the updates, it's amazing!

If You don't include a manifest into the plugin , it should work (but it's not tested from me).
Other solution , use the VS2008 Express Version .

As I understood before you need to have the Microsoft MFC to be able to use the AM SDK, and the express editions do not come with it and don't support it.
