Hi Fellows....
Finally, after a long period I decided to begin to produce the tutorial "How to Model Cars Using A:M".
I began showing how to model the fender.
I believe that the tutorial will have 6 parts ( or 7 ,8, 9 smile.gif )

I hope you like it....

Perfect!

That is a very nice idea and a great tutorial!

Thank you

Wonderful Marcos!
You are off to a great start.
That wasn't just a video tutorial that was a modeling experience.

Be wary of playing multiple songs with such relaxing rythyms though. I was getting a little too comfortable there for awhile! Perhaps adding something with a little faster beat after the initial song? Your modeling is quite exciting after all.

I will be hitting that paypal button. (or maybe support your effort through purchasing a model?) I'd like to help pay for your investment in Camtasia as I'd sure like to see more of that.
Fuchur
For others who may want to do their own videotutorials:
You dont need to buy Camtasia...

CamStudio does good screencapture-videos for free and with a h264 or their own CamStudio-Codec you got a nice codec too which is quite useable for screencapturevideos.
I am doing it that way. Dont take me wrong, Camtasia does a bit more and has a nice codec with it, but it is not necessary...

See you

This time I chose to model a car with modern design and a classic line. My choice was the FORD CAMARO 2008

Xtaz, Camaro is made by Chevrolet, not Ford. wink.gif

Downloading now. Hoping to use the some of the concepts for streamlined spaceship design.

I apreciated your advice... I'll use a different music style in part 2... thanks for your support

Of course it is a Chevrolet.... I was reading about Shelby before ...thanks... I fixed it in my site.
some concepts are utils and all mechanical models. ex: bevels, bias adjusts........

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The modeling process is dynamic, so sometime I can remodel some parts already shaped by adding or deleting cps and spline. In this case I'll explain why I'm doing it.

I would like to know if you liked the format of the tutorial.
- subtitles format
- if my english is good and intelligible
- if I need to go deeper in the explanation...

thanks friends

So far so good. Keep the tutorials coming. I will donate when when I complete the Camaro. Thanks again for the tutorials. The only recommendation I would have is I would like to here your voice in addition to the text and video. I love the choice of music you picked its very relaxing when modeling could get stressful.
Chopper Al
Great job on the tutorials XTax.

Looking forward to the next video where you start to add depth to the model.

Hi Spliners...
I apologize to those expecting the third part of the tutorial. My profession has left me quite busy these last two weeks. And to complete my pickup was stolen last Friday sad.gif

I'm working fast to finish the third part....

Hi Xtaz- I just now saw this thread for the first time and it looks promising! I haven't downloaded anything yet, I'll do it on my home computer after work. Just wanted to mention, can't you put a paypal link in there with one of their logos? I think it's pretty simple to do.
Kamikaze
Xtaz,

HI,
I was thinking of trying my hand at a Chevy 3100 truck and remembered the tuts you were making.
When I tried to get them from the site they seem to be gone.
Are they still available anywhere?
robcat2075
I just caught this thread too. Sorry to hear about the truck!

I just see a small icon when I click on the link.
jason1025
I asked him if the training was going to continue. He told me yes on a few occasions but that was 3 months ago.
thejobe

Xtaz
I'm uploading them to A:M films right now
jason1025
Any thoughts of when you will continue with this tutorial?

Xtaz
Hi Tim ... I tried to upload it but I got error 3 times then i gave up ... monday I try to upload them again .. sorry for misinformation
elliotclem1

This looks a promising tutorial that would be really useful. However are you going to continue making the rest of the tutorials in the close to near future?

Couldn't you upload the rest to your website?
petokosun
Hay,
I cannot find modelling the cars tutorials any more.
Was up.
Xtaz
Ok guys .... almost two years later here I am again ....
The model and the turorial are done . The first two parts of the tutorial (posted in sendspace.com and now dead) are being separated to be posted on Youtube. Besides these two, I created 15 other videos which will be posted weekly starting this weekend.
Those who want to give me support and receive the Camaro model, my e-mail for a donation (paypal) is xtaz-at-xtaz-dot-com-dot-br
Here is the baby ....

Fuchur
Wow... that one should be in the mascot-contest! Extremly well done... from modelling to materials to lightening to rendering: VERY well done!

See you!
*Fuchur*
Rodney
As always, very impressive Marcos.
Your rendering skills haven't diminished either. Beautifully rendered.
HomeSlice
Yes. terriffic model!
Don't forget to add your videos to A:M Films after you have uploaded them to YouTube. There is a tool in A:M films that allows you to simply give the URL to your YouTube video.

Excellent model, only thing that bugs me is the headlights, think you could use a bump map on a hemisphere rather than small spheres that make it look like led's
jason1025
Well worth the wait.
Xtaz
Thanks you for comments friends... uploading ( again ) part 1 and part 2 right now..

I followed these two references

Thanks for your patience

Fantastic!

Thanks, Xtaz, it is really good to watch you model. It both shows things I'm doing right and some things I can improve on.

Some of the things I'm most interested in are:

How do you find the right mesh density?
How do you deal with meeting meshes that have different densities?

The videos are helping out some on that front. Thanks!
