I recently purchased V15.0 online and would like to try my hand at UV texturing, however I am sitting here scratching my head instead. I have Photoshop just sitting there waiting, painting a UV map is easy...creating a UV map is another story. I scoured the net for tuts on UV mapping/UV unwrapping, for V15.0 but cannot find anything decent for a noob (me) to be able grasp the concept. Are there any out there?

It depends on what you are really after... the principles can be found in my free videotutorials on PatchWork3d.de -> What & How -> How -> The Tank

However the tutorial is about decaling, not really flattening. Anyhow: Both techniques are not far away from each other and the tutorial should give you a start there.
UV-Maps are generated through decaling in A:M.

Hope it helps.
Other than that, there is a great UV-texturing-tutorial out there by Will Sutton (Zandoria Studios) about texturing a Balrok (from Lord of the ring), but I cant seem to find it.
Zandoria.com is currently under construction but should be online soon. Till than, have a look at the tutorial.

Jim Talbot has some decaling tutorials that might help, they are here.

Hope that helps.
