Hi,
I am losing my bump map details when I apply my displacement map to the model.
Here is my set up:
A.M. vs15
Auto UV the model in 3d Painter. (Modeling was done in A.M.) simple model. Model has been saved as a Mdl.
The bump map and the displacement map are in the image container of my decal plus the color map also.
Color map applies perfect.
Bump map applies perfect.
When I apply the displacement map I lose all my bump map details.
I also make sure to do a render to get the textures to update.
Any help on this would be great. Thanks.

I don't see that 3Dpainter has anything to do with it, unless I am not understanding the setup.
I have V14c. I apply a color decal, then add a bump map (just as another image under the first decal), then add a displacement map. When I render in A:M, every thing is there.
I think I know what you are seeing. Before you add the Displacement map, you can see the color map in shaded mode with out rendering. I intermittantly lose the decalled patches after i apply the Displacement (in shaded mode). pressing the space bar brings it back some time and some times not. but it always renders.
It's possible this is a Video card/driver issue. may have to see if anyone else can confirm this behaviour. I have a Intel 82915G adapter on the system I tested it with, wil try the model on my laptop that has an Nvidia GForce card later.

I can see displacement maps, bump maps and normal maps in other programs that I use, so a video card issue should not be the issue. The bump map and displacement map are saved as tga files since A.M. does support tiff files. I am running A.M. v15 and using the v14 plugin since there is no v15 plugin for 3dpainter. The bump and displacement maps come up in 3dpainter in their own channel etc. In shaded view of
A. M. I see a low quality image of the color map and some true displacement of the model (which is normal for most applications) before I render. You will not see any bump map details till you render which again is standard. I applied many bump, displacement and normal maps in other programs so I know the steps but I could simply could not have understood a step in 3dpainter or A. M. The only problem I'm having is again is when I render with color, bump and displacement maps, the color map is good, displacement looks good but the bump map details are not rendering. Thanks for replying.

Problem fixed, Camera setting had to be set to multi-pass.
