Marshall and I were working the booth at Megacon, a comic book show in Orlando, Florida. A man came to our booth. He had long gray hair, spectacles, a large portly frame, and he spoke calmly and sincerely.

"I'm Glenn Koleda. You don't know me but do you know who Jack Kirby is?"

"He's my favorite comic book artist," I replied, interested.

Glenn nodded sagely. "I was working with Jack on his last project before he passed on, and we were using your software."

I was astounded. "What? In 1989? That must have been on the Amiga?"

"Yes. I still have my 4000 in storage, and all of Jack's work - his new story idea - is on it. All using your software. Come on over to my booth. I have something for you."

When I came back from Glenn's booth I had my arm behind my back. I walked up to Marshall and put my new crystal wand in his face, waving it in a circle. "Can you feel the energy?" I asked.

"What are you doing? Get that away from me." Marshall brushed the wand away.

"Glenn told me this crystal's field is so strong you can feel it six inches from your face," I said. "Glenn said he was able to activate its power after his NDE."

"NDE?" Marshall asked, irritated.

"Near Death Experience." I answered. "After Glenn's NDE he gained a channel to the afterlife. He was hit by a truck, and the archangel Michael was standing in heaven waiting for him with open arms. Glenn could see his wife back on earth and he wanted to return to her, so he re-entered his body, and now he has this special connection."

I walked around Marshall and applied the orbed end of the crystal wand to his back. "This crystal can focus your aura and can also be used as a massage tool."

Marshall jumped away from me. "I warned you," he said.

"It also emanates peizo-electric energy that protects your computer from crashing."

"Is that so?" was Marshall's sarcastic reply.

As proof I put the crystal wand on the keyboard of the computer playing example animations. Marshall looked at it suspiciously but eventually he went back to demonstrating on his own computer.

During the rest of the show, when Glenn or his wife came by our booth, they smiled. I smiled back and pointed at the wand on the keyboard then I gave them a thumbs up.

At the end of the show I told Marshall, "it never crashed once." Marshall was unimpressed.

Back at the office, Steve was unpacking the crates when he came across the crystal wand. "What's this?" he asked, perplexed.

I told him the story.

"That's fascinating," Steve replied. "It keeps the computer from crashing you say?"

"Never crashed once while it was near."

Steve thought for a moment then he said, "Maybe we ought to bundle these with our software?"

You did that on purpose!

Great story about the crystals.
Now... What about that Jack Kirby A:M production!?!?
Gerry
Yeah, tell us about a crystal that brings Kirby back to life so he can finish his A:M project and I'll be impressed.
