As a test to see how well the current release of OpenOffice.org works for tutorials I cobbled this introduction to Glowing objects together. Don't laugh or I'll pummel ya! wink.gif

Seriously though, the specifics of how to control the Glow attribute on Models eluded me for the longest time because I refused to read the Technical Reference. After I read the reference... all became crystal clear.

So... on with the tutorial.
Unofficial title: "You can lead a horse to water but... can you make him glow?"

Thank you, Rodney - I must try glow again - I've always had either nothing or full-blast intensity.

If I recall correctly that was my experience too.

In the process of going through TaoA:M I can't help but review where I've been over the years and there is a surprising amount of information that is flooding back to me. Long forgotten or obsure features revealing themselves again etc.

I can almost remember where I was and many of the mistakes I made from way back when. I can remember the first time I tried Glow and got that full-blast effect. I recall just how frustrating it was that I couldn't figure out how to turn that glow down! A quick read of the manual (what we call the Tech Ref today) would have clued me in.

Such a silly thing really. Perhaps a glowing horse will make it easier to remember? wink.gif
