i finally bought 3dpainter this friday, i run it as a plug-in on a:m 15 on a mac, everything works fine, but the textures won´t show up in a:m...

i was doing the following steps with my model:

2) Right-click and select '3DPainter...' to open 3DPainter
3) Click the 'Create Decal Tiles' button to do automapping. In the window that appears, select the 'Extra Large' option (if your graphics card allows it) and click 'OK'
4) Click the 'Start Projection Paint' button and start painting.
5) Click the 'Accept Projection Paint' button to project the projection paint canvas onto the decal.
6) Click the 'Save Modified Textures' button.
7) Close 3DPainter
8) Render in Animation:Master

does anyone know what´s wrong?

Some ideas to try. They work for me smile.gif
1) Save the model in am before opening 3d painter.
2)on adding the uv tiles in 3dPainter, save and return to AM.
3)Save the AM file to save the uvs.
4)reopen in 3d painter and paint happily.
Hope it helps....
Enjoy

If you mail me the log files (AppLog.txt and PluginLog.txt) made by 3DPainter, I could try to find out what goes wrong on your computer. On Mac OS X (which you are using?), they are located at /Users/[your name]/Library/Application Support/3DPainter.

Best regards,
Filip

thanks... the problem is already solved, filip sent me another plug-in file wich was written in os10.4, the plug-in included in the download-file of 3d-painter was written in os10.5 as he told me... just replaced the hxt-file in my folder and everything worked as aspected... great support for a sunday night i´d say... wink.gif thanks again filip...
