We're going to try and sell single solutions: like "Make Anime" at an anime con, or "Make Superheros" at a comic con, or "Make Titles" at a DV con. First up, "Make Anime," (let's see if this even works?):
Requirements:
1) Written for 7th graders (are you smarter than a 5th grader?)
2) Includes everything to a finished product - INCLUDING A:M NLE & sound! (Post on A:M Films)
Here's what I suggest:
Gather up all the anime or anime-like free models we've got, (see the "A:M Extras" DVD - if you don't have it, buy it from our store.) Find the existing "How to Model Anime" tutorials (there are several). Use as much drag-n-drop as possible (7th graders!). Talk about anime "stuff." (I read some books on anime culture - I know there's weird "stuff" that animers like to hear.)
Do a project you're personally interested in because I want your excitement to come through in this tutorial, (heck, man, we're trying to make a living here).
I'll buy more than one. (I may even buy partials.)
p.s. In the past, this "write tutorials for money" thing didn't work out so great - I don't know why? (Too hard? Bad communication? No interest?) I suspect some people might have finished but were embarrassed, shy, whatever about telling me... If you're working on this, POST your intermediate results here so we're all aware that you're on the gig. (Plus, I could tell you if you're off base.)
