Martin mentioned in his blog that we were changing to 30 fps instead of 24. Should we set our actions/chors to this rate now?

We're still experimenting. When Holmes and I watched TWO on a 36" U.S. television, it looked fine... It was when it was projected at 8' that the crossover frames blasted out at ya. We'll stick with what we know for now (24 fps).

I'm curious - What's the reason for switching to 30?

I shall state the obvious:

24 is such a nice friendly number ie, easily divisible into half, third, quarter, sixth, eigths, twelfths ... while 30 is ...ummm...different....half, third, fifth, sixth.

30 requires more frames to be rendered (longer rendering time), larger file sizes as well.

I shall need a brain transplant (oh wait..thats a good reason to switch to 30)

EDIT: Whew...-never mmind ...just saw Martins post

Is it 30, or 29.97?
