Can some one test this in V15.0d that the density setting of hair does not seem to increase the amount of hairs per patch? I was playing with this in V14 but I can not seem to get it too work in V15.0d?

Mark changed density from 10% to 500% over 30 frames seems to be working...v15d pc version

Maybe a realtime-problem? What is setted at the Material->Hairsystem->Realtime?
If you for example got 1% for both, it may not show in the realtime-view if you increase the density.

Yes I have set them both to .01% trying to get one hair / patch I played with them both but did not go too far up maybe 1% for each what is real time for is that just what you see in chr window while scrubing or does that affect final render?

You also have to consider the size of the patch. The bigger the patch, the more hair will be emitted. The density factor is measured per square cm. So, I would try to make the emitter model very small and scale it larger in the chor (hair should scale with it, but not the density). You could also try setting the cull hair property as well (setting it to a high percentage will lower the density). You need to set the realtime density to 100% to show what you will get at final render.

This will only affect the realtimerendering, not the final-rendering.
