I have a question about the flower bed. Should it be rectangular or rounded?

Is this in the castle garden? I'm already done a proxy and done some layout with it. It's in the sets folder on svn.

Yes this is the castle garden. Does this mean that u are finished with it? Do I have more to do?

I've done a proxy. It needs texturing and some more flowers. You can check it out on svn (Jinx_Castle_Garden) in the sets folder. Try to add the flowers with an action (which is placed on the bed model).

why are the walls around the garden ten feet high? How would they get in?

It's a proxy model for layout so doors need to be added. There's no castle yet, so I can't tell you which side the door should be on yet.

I was looking through the flower models and I am amazed. How are the leaves created? are they cookie cut images? I would really like to know, that would boost my skills a lot. Thanks a lot.

They use particle hair materials and were done by Nancy for TWO.

That is really cool I gotta learn how to do that. anyways this is my flower bed. I like the organic shape and the flowers are just temporary seeing how much better Nancy's are compared to mine.

Great start MasterFunk.
If you want to learn about using Hair, you may want to read the tutorial here:

Thanks for the tutorial! Here is my much improved flower bed. The render time is a bit long since I am using hair mats and the density is rather high.

Very nice! Hopefully we'll render the backgrounds once and use them as background rotos this time around.
