MasterFunk
I figured that I could just make the eyes reflective and put a dim light in the cave.
MasterFunk
Finished. Here is a pic.

I couldn't figure out how to upload my model to SVN properly... it kept saying something about a working copy error. So I am just going to post it here.

The red eyes are the eyes of the ork, so they have to match him. Or we could use his actual eyes. Nice eyes though.

Instead of Modeling the eyes seperatly couldn't you just make a pose for the ork for the ambiance intensity to be high. That way you could have him blink etc. ... just an idea

MasterFunk
If they are to match the ork's eyes why not put the entire ork in the cave and give it poor lighting and raise the reflectivity and ambiense of his eyes. Then all u could see is his eyes and he could step into better light to reveal himself to Cap'n and trot.
KenH
Yes, that was the plan before I saw this thread. smile.gif We'll be doing that so.

MasterFunk, will you please upload your eyes to svn? If you do, I'll put you down as having done the eyes, since they are on the list.
The reason they are in the list is because when I was doing the script breakdown, they were mentioned as "glowing red eyes" and after breaking down a 90 minute script into Sets, Props and Characters - the brain becomes numb after awhile.

Besides, those are great eyes! We may still try to use them somewhere. Thanks for following the guidelines and taking initiative. You shouldn't be penalized for doing what was asked.

I put it on svn but I cannot commit. It said there was some sort of authorization error.

You must enter your Forum user name and password in the svn dialog box in order to commit stuff to svn. Did you enter your user name and password? What svn client are you using ( most Windows users use TortoiseSVN) ?
MasterFunk
I am using the Versions client that you recommended for the mac. I am out of town now but when I get back I will check.

MasterFunk, I added the mdl file you posted, but I'm missing "Red eyes.tga" and "Red eyes bump.tga". Can you post those images too?
