I was trying to control the Glow effect and just happened to use 'Scarecrow of Oz' as the test text.
I wasn't able to get the effect I wanted after trying a couple times.
On yet another attempt to render I saw the excess glow I didn't want and terminated the render...
This is what I got... no excess glow outside the text.

Not very interesting but... hey... I rendered something related to SO. wink.gif

For the record this is the glow effect I DIDN'T want:

We could use that logo...

Here's a possibility for animating it:

Start with a big bunch of straw.
It starts shaking.
Straw is raining down from the bunch.
As straw falls away, the letters start to become visibile.
Eventually, a "strawy" opening title is fully visibile, (with some strands of straw still falling away).

I might just be up to that challenge.
I'll investigate. smile.gif
