Anyone else notice a significant increase in speed (realtime rendering, loading etc.)?
I'm zipping around A:M pretty quickly since installing v15b.
It might just be the installation cleared out all the cobwebs but... Zoom... I've suddenly got more speed.

Smooth as glass, thus far.
Very pleasing.

Really? I can't wait to try it....damn Intel! It would be nice to know what was changed....if anything.....to cause this. Judging by the small bug list, it seems v15a must have already been rock solid.

There has been some activity on the Mac front and I'd say most of the benefits of v15b can be seen there.
Steffen Gross alluded to several fixes that were slated for plugins etc that aren't listed here as well.

I'm not a Mac guy so... I dunno. But shout out to the Mac users... this updates for you! smile.gif

I did notice that my Help browser was fixed after install but that's probably not related to v15b. Before I had it operational on one computer but not on a second. Regardless, I'm enjoying having a dedicated view on the manual and Tech Ref available in A:M and in the dedicated help browser window too (I can use all the help I can get!). Didn't know you could do that. The ability to search A:M topics from right inside A:M... beautiful stuff. Heck... you can even browse the forum there! If anyone knows of a good broswer based notetaker we could type our notes right there in A:M. The smaller the better though of course.

Little things like that really make my day.

I have had the installer halt under Vista. It prompted for the CD drive and then is not responding while Eagle.mdl. Sigh.

Update - about 10 minutes later, what ever it was, corrected itself.

PS - I decided to install 15 to see if it would correct the problem with 14 not seeing the CD. Like the Lindz thread, I upgraded to Vista from XP and V14 was already installed. Not seeing the CD. So, a new install might cure it? Trying it now. And no. Will reinstall 14 (and need to update my subscription...)

Update 2.1 - No joy at all. 14c tells me to insert OZ... and it does not see it in D: or G: DVD drives. 15b tells me to insert the correct HASH CD. Deleted the CD drives from device manager and restarted with no joy still

And where did the V14 forum go? It seems to be MIA on the forum board.

Last Update - V13 works (I have the HASH2007 CD). I may have the first run as it has New Folder on it. Time to go order... (and it WORKS!)

I'm not trying to be impatient or pushy, but is there an estimated time when 15.0c might be coming out? I mean if Hash Inc is taking longer time between release to include more bug fixes and testing, I'm all for it. Is there a new "Quarterly release schedule" or something Hash is aiming for?

Mark,
You've probably communicated directly with Hash Inc more than most people here in the forum.
Send them an email! If v15c is coming out soon I'm sure they'll let you know.

The HAMR content generator is being worked into v15 so (should that make it into v15) it should be very well worth the wait.
We want them to take the time to get that right.

Generally the full release of each version has been in July/August of each year. (Siggraph timeframe)
As far as I know nothing has changed there but... not sure with the advent of websubscriptions.
